Hi Everyone,
If you are new, welcome to the University of Ulster, and if you are returning, welcome back. I am the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs for the Belfast Campus.

This role has changed over the past year, and not only will I be helping run societies and solve general problems, but also I will help you with educational and welfare problems that might arise over the year. Don’t be afraid to come to me with any problem, no matter how small you may think it is.

There are several main things that I wish to achieve throughout the year which include: working with the Sports President to help introduce sports within this campus, boost the promotion of outside art opportunities and exhibitions, and finally, help make you more employable.

There are loads of ways you can get involved, which not only are great for the Students’ Union, but also adds to your CV. Becoming a ‘Class Rep’ is brilliant, I use to be one in my foundation year, it doesn’t take up much time at all and you are able to help solve problems directly affecting you and your class. If you are wishing for a bit more responsibility, you may be able to join the ‘General Council’, which deals with problems over all four campuses. Just talk to me if you want any more information.
