INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International students are an integral part of UU and ensure that the amalgamation of a variety of cultures greatly complements University life.
There are a number of different events organised for International students with an opening reception at the start of term being the first chance to meet and socialise with the "local" students. Other social events of the year for the International students include Irish nights, where students have a chance to taste Irish culture, Irish music, ceili dancing and cuisine. In return, international students have the opportunity to display their culture and talents to the native students of the University through an International night, providing the whole student population with an interesting and enjoyable evening. Look out for events on your own campus during the year.
For those students who may experience difficulty liasing with their University base overseas they can use the International offices located in Coleraine Central Building, Ext. 4511, or Jordanstown External Affairs Office (Ms Joan Reilly) Ext. 8220.
Alternatively, contact the Education and Welfare Officer in your Students' Union or the Overseas Students' Officer through the Union General Office.
Our Students' Union Overseas Students' Officer will be organising a support group for all International students.
Your participation is welcomed!
