► Run a Society

UUSU Societies

Societies are an integral part of the University of Ulster Students’ Union.

Affiliated SU Societies are run by student committees and are open to membership by any student of the University of Ulster.

There are many different areas of activity and interest in which students can get involved. If there is no existing Society that caters for your interest, then start a new one!

Society Memberships

Important Note: For 2012/2013 Society Memberships can only be processed through the Students' Union Offices on your campus - there is a new membership form to be completed by students who wish to join a society. Click here to download this form.

All money recieved by the Students' Union for membership fees goes directly into the society's finance account. Society committee members are asked not to handle money (at Freshers' Fayre or otherwise - contact the Volunteer & Societies Coordinator to discuss).

Useful Forms for Societies

Society Affiliation Pack  - do you want to start up your own society?

Society End of Year Pack - hand the society over!

Activity & Booking Form - do you need help doing something?

Lodgement Form - drop your money into your society finance account

Claim Form - need to claim money back, raise a cheque or make an order?

Budget Form - would you like to apply for money from the SU?
