Fundraising is a great way to raise addtional funds for your society. This could be done by charging a membership fee to join your society, running events, getting a sponsor, etc. If you need any help or advice, please contact your Site Vice President and Academic Affairs:

Society Fundraising Accounts
Don't forget that all fundraising monies e.g. society membership must be paid into your society fundraising account. If you are unsure how to do this please speak to your Vice President Academic and Student Affairs.
Society Meetings
Society Meetings are a chance for societies to meet with their campus Vice President Academic and Student Affiairs to get information updates, discuss any issues and decide on any campus society matters. This is the 2nd society meeting of the year. All societies must send at least one committee member to this meeting.

Society Training 2011 (******New for 2011-2012*******)
All societies must send one society representative to Society Training. The training covers how to run your society, financial managment and health/safety. For more information or to confirm your attendance, please contact your VP Academic and Student Affairs ASAP.

Promote your society through Ufouria - the Students' Union magazine. Email your articles/photos to: ufouria@uusu.org by 13th October
Driver Training - Minibuses
The Students' Union has decided to introduce driver training for any society who may use minibuses.
Formal training will be organised for late October/early November for any minibus drivers. Good practice would state that a minibus driver appraisal system is in place.
All socieites that may use minibuses must email Colin Campbell: cr.campbell@uusu.org by Monday 17th October, stating their requirements, and giving drivers' contact details. Only those societies who email their requirements will be included in any training.
The courses usually last for one day and the cost will have to be deducted from each Society's budget allocationn. If you have any queries, please contact Colin on the email address above.

All societies must return a society contact sheet and a copy of their society constitution to their Vice President Academic and Student Affairs by the 31st October. If you have any queries/concerns, please contact you VP Academic and Student Affairs on the contact details below.
Society Meeting
Welcome back!!!! The first society meeting of the year will be held on the following dates below at your campus. Each society must send at least one representative to this meeting. You will get the chance to meet your Vice President Academic and Student Affairs and find out more about funding/training.
