Top Essentials for Moving to Uni - Don't Forget Your Bedding!
Packing for university can be a bit tricky, as you will have to try and fit all of the things that you have collected over a lifetime into one tiny room. Here are a few things that you should remember to take with you.
Photographs
A collection of photographs of friends and family can really help beat homesickness. Make sure you select photographs that contain strong memories of past events such as birthdays and days out. You can create a frieze on the wall of your university room out of these photographs to remind you of these special occasions.
Android phone
An Android phone is the perfect way to stay connected, as you can use it to video chat or send instant messages. With an Android phone, you will be able to connect with people back home any time you choose without racking up a massive phone bill. Of course you could go for one of their competitors, most notably iPhones, but these devices are probably the most adaptable smart phones on the market.
Clothes
Try to pack a selection of clothes, shoes and other items that are suitable for different occasions. In addition to study clothes, you will need plenty of clothes that are suitable for wearing out in the evening. A large selection of accessories will also come in handy, such as bags, belts and stylish shoes.
Bedding
Last, but not least, make sure you pack your bedding such as sheets, pillows and a duvet with you! You don’t want to spend your entire first year sleeping on crappy, threadbare sheets.
If you remember these essentials you should be just fine for your first year at Uni – now you just have to remember how to study!
