L-R: Students - Helen McKinstry, Paddy McCormack, Gareth Shortt and Diarmuid Frazer (Site VP Jordanstown).
The Students’ Union held a number of events including a raffle and tuck shop at their school disco event in the Union bar.  The Jordanstown Site Executive participated in a number of street / carpark collections.

University staff also helped with fundraising.  Trish McFarland (Services Development Manager, Sports Development and Services) took part in a sponsored silence and Margaret McConnell (Sports Centre Supervisor) had a pudsey cake sale.

Diarmuid Frazer, Site Vice President of the Jordanstown Students’ Union said,

“I would like to thank all the students and staff at the University who took part in the fundraising and also donated money to Children In Need. It’s such a worthwhile cause and it’s great to know that children in our own communities will be helped with the money we have raised. Through the students hard work we raised more money than last year so hopefully next year the Students’ Union will raise even more money.”
