"Let’s Create Change in Magee with CC"
Hello everyone! My names Collette Cassidy, I’m 20, from Fermanagh and a final year Psychology Student. During my time in Ulster University I have held roles within Magee Ladies Gaelic Football club and Camogie club committees. I’m a chatty, friendly, hard working and dedicated individual. I’m running for Vice-President of Academic and Student Affairs of Magee with the aim to provide every student the best University experience possible!
My Aims 2018/2019
Communication
To get the best out of your University experience communication between students and the Students Union is vital. I promise to be a consistent presence on the ground of Magee as well as online. I aim to ensure every student understands what their University and SU can do and offer you to get the best out of your time in Magee.
Employment
Finances are a nightmare for students therefore jobs are essential. I promise to provide more jobs for students in the city by gaining partnership with local businesses and also creating opportunities for jobs within the University campus and publicise them.
Better Facilities
Magee requires better facilities to benefit the students both within the University and its Sport Clubs. To make this happen I promise to have your ideas influence the developments around Magee as well as partner with local sports facilities
Mental Health
Mental Health is an important part of everyone’s life. I promise to provide awareness and understanding of Mental Health to each student and lobby with the UUSU to ensure the University and Government keep Mental Health a top priority!
Clubs & Societies
Clubs and Societies are the heart of University life! There are many clubs and societies still to be developed while more promotion of the current ones is needed. I promise to help in whatever way I can to make this happen.
