Raise Your Voice: Community Safety Begins with Ending Sexual Harassment

Tuesday 02 December 2025

MU001 -Magee

12:15pm - 1:15pm

Sexual harassment is any kind of unwanted behaviour of a sexual nature that makes you feel humiliated or intimidated, or that creates a hostile environment. Victim blaming not only discourages survivors from coming forward for fear they'll be blamed, it also actively shifts focus away from holding the person doing harm accountable.

In this session, we learn:

1. How everyday sexism and sexual harassment is a root cause of sexual violence and abuse,
2. What violence against women and girls is,
3. About the harms of victim-blaming and
4. What we can do to help.
