Coach Education

UUSU has three coach education opportunities on offer for students at Ulster University.

'Active Fit Sporty' Coach Education Scheme

This scheme is for women students involved in clubs and societies, where physical activity is involved, at Ulster University. Funded by Sport Northern Ireland and Department for Communities, the Active Fit Sporty initiative acts in three ways, 1. to encourage women to increase their levels of physical activity, 2. to permit women students the opportunity to gain accredited leadership, and 3. to offer women students financial support to achieve coach/instructor qualifications.

'Garfield Weston Trust' Coach Education Scheme

This scheme is for women studying at Ulster University on Magee campus. Funded by the Garfield Weston Trust, this initiative financially supports women students wishing to gain a coach/instructor qualification.

‘Randox' Coach Education Scheme

This scheme is for any student at Ulster University involved with Club Sport.  Funded by our sponsor Randox, this scheme helps to sustain a club's development by offering financial support to dedicated students with a desire to upskill their coaching.
