Staff more info

Welcome to the staff resource page for the new student voice platform, Unitu. Unitu aims to improve the student experience by engaging with the student voice in real time.

How Unitu works

Built around enhancing the student representative system, Unitu creates clear communication channels between students, course reps and staff allowing them to collaboratively collect and act on any type of feedback in a transparent and intuitive way. This feedback platform will not replace SSCC (Staff Student Consultative Committees) but will instead enhance the rep role to gain more representative feedback throughout the year for input to SSCCs.

  • Continuous student feedback

Students can raise issues, suggest ideas, ask a question and give praise at any time.

  • Representative student feedback

Student Reps can easily gain unbiased and representative feedback from everyone in their course. A staff representative on the feedback board can then be immediately alerted by the Student Rep that they wish to ask a question or raise an idea.

  • Close the feedback loop in seconds

With a click of a button, staff can instantly inform all relevant students on how they intend to act on their feedback through either a status update or by engaging in a real time discussion.

  • Data driven insights at your finger tips

Staff are provided with a bird’s eye view of student feedback across their school, enabling them to making meaningful comparisons and action.

*Please note this is a generic Unitu video. Reference to ‘pilot’ and dates of roll-out are not relevant to Ulster.*

Content policy

All content posted to Unitu should contribute to a constructive atmosphere. We promote discussion about the good and bad aspects of students’ academic experience – they are free to raise both ideas and complaints, but must be mindful to do so in a suitable manner, as outlined by this Content Policy.
