ResLife

Offices will be closed during the Easter period from 4pm on Friday 3rd April and will reopen 8:45am on Monday 13th April.  A range of support services and events are available throughout the period and full details have been sent via email and are available on the ResLife website at www.ulster.ac.uk/accommodation.  If you need urgent assistance, please contact university security.

Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing offices will be closed on all campuses from 4pm on Friday 3rd April and will reopen 8:45am on Monday 13th April.

During this time Ulster University students can still access support from multiple sources:

Library Services

Library Services (staffed opening hours including enquiry services and access to books) closed on all campuses from 8pm on Friday 3rd April and will reopen 8:45am on Monday 13th April.

Campus Libraries will provide 24-hour access to spaces for Ulster students and staff with the exception of Monday 6th April. Open areas will include study environments, social learning spaces and access to computing, printing, scanning, and photocopying facilities

Students & staff must have their card with them to gain access, and we ask that users report to campus security desks before entering libraries. 

Digital Services Computing Facilities

Closed on all campuses from 4pm on Friday 3rd April and will reopen 8:45am on Monday 13th April.

Campus Access

University campuses will be closed from Saturday 4 April to Sunday 12 April 2026, with no access permitted on Monday 6th April (Public Holiday).

Students and staff may access campus during the closure period (excluding 6 April) only with an approved letter from their faculty or department.

Requests for access must be authorised by the relevant Head of School/Department and submitted to the appropriate 

Head of Estates Customer Services — Derek Bell (Coleraine and Magee) or Trevor Glenn (Belfast and Jordanstown) — by 

12:00pm on 2nd April 2026. Requests must include required room numbers and dates.

All necessary risk assessments, support, and supervision arrangements must be in place.

Individuals accessing campus must carry both their approval letter and ID card.

To support safety and security, all users must sign in and out at the main reception on arrival and departure (Sports Centre access excluded).

Estates Patrol will then facilitate access to the required areas.

Faculty Facilities and other centrally managed IT facilities

Access to Faculty facilities and specialist IT laboratories can be provided, subject to prior arrangements being in place.
