The UUSU Buddy Scheme helps new students settle into university life by connecting them with a student buddy who can offer support, answer questions, and help them settle into university life. If you are a returning student who feels equipped to help a fellow student settle into University Life please read on and find out how you can apply to be a Buddy Volunteer!

When you register at Ulster University you are automatically a member of the Students’ Union (UUSU). We are here to Represent, Support and Connect you whilst you are studying. We have loads of events planned for Freshers’ Week.

Your Student Officers are elected every year to represent you, the students of Ulster. They work to champion the issues that matter to our members and work to ensure the student experience is as rewarding as possible.

Derryatrics Memory Walk: 21st September 6:30am - 7:30am; The Quay Derry/Londonderry; Do you know someone affected by Alzheimers? This being an individual, their family or carers. Come along to our Derry/Londonderry Memory Walk to support these individuals. All proceedings goes towards Alzheimers Society

Breakfast Club: 21st September 8:15am - 9:15am; UUSU Social Space; Free breakfast from 8.15am until 9.15am each day during Freshers Week.

Spin to Win: 21st September 10am - 2pm; Belfast (BC outside library) Coleraine (Bridge) Magee (MU); Students who scan the QR code and follow us on socials get the opportunity to spin our prize wheel and be in with a chance to win freshers goodies!

CU Coleraine- football: 21st September 5pm - 6pm; Sports Centre

Pottery Paint and Sip -Belfast: 21st September 5pm - 7pm; CQ Social; Our pottery painting session with past student Zara is a real freshers treat!
