SHAG Week is back! 9th - 13th Feb.
Here at UUSU we’re all about supporting you to feel informed, confident, and empowered when it comes to sex and relationships.
SHAG Week (Sexual Health and Guidance Week) exists to make sure you have access to non-judgmental information about safe sex, healthy relationships, and consent, and to know where to turn for support when you need it.
Our SHAG Fayres bring together external organisations and support services, offering free resources and the chance to chat with trained professionals about sexual health, contraception, testing, and relationships These events are a great starting point if you’re not sure what support is out there or just want to pick up reliable information.
We’re also keeping things approachable with PositiviTEA Brew Days, a chance to grab a free hot drink and spill the tea with us while learning about sex that is safe, consensual, and enjoyable.
For something a little different, Blind Date with a Book encourages students to explore themes of relationships, identity, and wellbeing while supporting our Charity of the Year, Cash for Kids, through the sale of pre-loved books.
SHAG Week isn’t only about information; it’s about having a bit of craic too. With our friends at Compass, we’re bringing back Tinder Live and the biggest night on campus, Sex Toy Bingo! We know it’s important to not only talk about the serious side of sex, but the fun of it too.
Whether you come along to learn something new, pick-up free resources, support a good cause, or just enjoy the craic, SHAG Week is for everyone. Keep an eye on UUSU channels for more information, and don’t be afraid to get involved!
