I'm Leya Bader, a proud Global Ambassador and the Head of the International One World Society. I am excited to present my manifesto as I run for the position of Vice-President for Equality and belonging. My 5-year journey so far at Ulster has been filled with learning, engaging, and advocating for a campus that celebrates diversity and fosters an inclusive environment for all.
Goals & Actions: I aim to make Ulster a beacon of inclusivity by integrating diversity into mental health support, ensuring every student feels supported. Together with the student union and the International One World Society, I plan to launch the "Culture Connect Event," promoting global unity. The "Voice and Vision Council" will empower students to shape policy and enhance community. I'm dedicated to creating a comprehensive Anti-Discrimination Framework in collaboration with wellbeing services and Student Services for a respectful campus atmosphere. Additionally, I'll work to increase financial aid for underrepresented students and launch digital inclusion initiatives with IT Services, Library Services, and the student success team, ensuring accessible online learning for all.
