"Empowering Students, Building a Brighter Future!"

I am Amensinor Favour Okpohs, and I am honoured to announce my candidacy for the position of Vice President.

My vision for our Student Union is clear: to reconnect with every student and ensure that each one knows about the incredible array of opportunities available to them. From academic representation to welfare advice, volunteering opportunities to enhancing the student experience through events and activities, I am committed to making sure every student benefits from what our Union has to offer.

HERE ARE MY FIVE PRIORITIES FOR REFORM:

  1. Putting Students First: I pledge to assist in leading a union that actively seeks out students' concerns and works tirelessly to address them. I am dedicated to being a president who listens to your needs and fights for your interests.

  2. Promoting Inclusivity: Regardless of age, race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation, every student deserves to feel safe and comfortable within our university community. I will champion inclusivity and diversity, ensuring that all students feel valued and respected.

  3. Creating a Listening Union: The Student Union should be a place where every voice is heard and respected. I will ensure that the Union listens to students and is empowered to take action on their behalf. Transparency and accountability will be at the heart of our operations.

  4. Empowering Students: I believe in the power of students to drive positive change. I will work tirelessly to empower students, giving them the tools and resources they need to shape their university experience and create a thriving community.

  5. Fostering Unity: I am committed to fostering unity and cooperation among students, regardless of background. Together, we can work towards common goals and build a stronger, more inclusive university community.

With your support, I am confident that we can bring about meaningful change and build a Student Union that truly serves the needs of all students.

– Together, let's make a difference!
