James Matchett | Kainos EAYL | Computing Systems Year 1 | Mentor & Leader in multiple STEM hackathons & Projects
I’m James Matchett and I previously studied at Methodist College Belfast before coming to UUJ, I am on the Kainos Earn as You Learn program as part of my PT Computing systems course.
I’ve been involved numerous STEM related projects in a leadership role such as the Rolls Royce Science prize, the Northern Ireland Raspberry Jam and numerous hackathons and code camps including Kainos Codecamp and Future 2017/18.
From these multiple experiences I’ve been able to improve my communication, teamwork, leadership and personal relation skills in order to help solve any problems any of my team members encountered during these projects.
I feel that I am a good communicator and am able to voice concerns as well as get to know individual’s points of view and opinions on certain topics, take them into account and hopefully achieve a good outcome for all parties should any issues arise.
I hope I am a good fit for the role and am able to perform any duties assigned to me. -James Matchett
