My name is Taylor-lee McConnell, I am a first year student currently studying sport, physical activity and health student. I wish to be considered for class rep, as I believe that, being compassionate and approachable is key in breaking down barriers between pupil and staff. I am someone that all pupils and staff will feel comfortable approaching. I also believe that my drive and diligence will inspire confidence in my desire and ability to get things done and work hard for the best interests of the course. Ultimately I want the student body to see me as a figure of trust, that strives to improving their student lives. I feel that this will be achieved through working closely alongside all students and staff, to better the student experience in all aspects. It is important to recognise the university student experience has an impact on many different aspects , it is not only a physical change that as a student you need to adapt to, but also effects on social and psychological health and well being. as I class rep I will be conscientious to focus in on supporting and promoting the importance of these areas.
