My manifesto for Faculty rep to Life and Health Sciences students – Bodhayan Prasad
I have actively participated in discussion meeting in UUSU about student issues and watched very closely, while being a Student Councilor for 2 years now. Presently I’m in my final year and vouching for the position of Faculty rep for Life and Health Sciences to highlight student voice focused towards Life and Health Sciences community. I’ll be engaging with students as well as course/department reps to understand the priority issues and be actively discussing and pursuing with our Academic Dean. I’ll also be leveraging my personal experience to suggest improvement to the existing learning experience for our life and health sciences students.
Since Life and Health Sciences students are more into research and they work directly with industry. Moreover, it requires knowledge across very different fields. My initial focus would be to design think platforms and/or learning spaces for the students where they can network and collaborate and get to know all kind of research that is going on within our faculty and promote inter-disciplinary research platform and facilities.
