Art Unwrapped launch and Provost’s Christmas Reception

Wednesday 11 December 2019

12:30pm - 2pm

Ulster University, Belfast City Council and National Museums Northern Ireland have come together in a unique collaboration to showcase an artistic masterpiece as a Christmas gift to the city of Belfast. Now in its second year, Art Unwrapped will present Giovanni Francesco Romanelli’s ‘Saint Cecilia’ (1610-1612), a much-loved piece and one of his most famous paintings. You are invited to join us to celebrate the launch of this exciting experience for our city, followed by a festive reception – booking is essential via culture@belfastcity.gov.uk by Thursday 5 December.

Following the unveiling, the exhibition will be open to the public.  You, your family and friends are welcome to view the classic artwork, have a guided introduction to the work and find out more via interpretive panels from 12 December – 12 January 2020.  (Please note campus closing times over the Christmas break).
