Feeling Social
Welcome to the Doctoral Society Magee, representing PhD researchers throughout a variety of disciplines! The Doc Soc wants to build an inclusive community to celebrate each of our doctoral journeys!
The Doctoral Society aims to provide social events and activities for PhD Researchers in order to combat the isolation that can come up as part of studies. With a focus on giving researchers time to connect with others away from their studies, events will range from chilling out away from our desks with a cup of tea or coffee to more energetic activities like eating pizza (or bowling and paintball)!
As this society is designed for PhD Researchers, there will be an expected flexibility around what events will be organised. This extends to when events will be held so that as many people can make use of them as possible. We know all too well that schedules can get hectic so the aim is to vary things enough that everyone has the opportunity to get involved.
