UUSU Dermatology Society

Dermatology is a branch of medicine which deals with the skin. It entails both medical and surgical aspects. If you want to become a GP or a dermatologist, skin conditions are something that you will frequently encounter. 
 

By joining this society members will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of skin conditions outside the current medical curriculum. 
 

The aims of the society will be: 

-Promote an interest in dermatology as a career and an interest in all things skin. 
-Raise public awareness about skin cancer prevention and safe sun use 

-Fundraise for skin related charities like the British Skin Foundation

-Host guest speakers who will talk about dermatology related topics 

-Provide education to members and the public about common skin ailments 

We hope our society can be a platform to bring together medical students interested in studying dermatology as a career or simply with an interest in skin!
