Our society is open to students studying subjects including:

• Community Youth Studies – Certificate
• Criminology and Criminal Justice
• Law with Politics and International Studies 
• Social Work 
• Sociology, including minors in Criminology, Education, History and Politics
• Students from other related courses are also very welcome to get involved!

What we want to do

University is about more than lectures, assignments and exams. Our goal is to create opportunities for students to meet people outside their own course, try new things and make lasting friendships.

Throughout the year, we hope to organise a mixture of social events, activities and opportunities to connect with other students, while also creating a space where members can support one another academically and personally.

We aim to:

• Bring students from different Social Sciences courses together
• Help students make friends and feel part of the Magee community
• Organise fun and accessible social events
• Encourage students to share ideas, experiences and interests
• Support wellbeing and positive student experiences
• Create a friendly and inclusive environment where everyone feels comfortable getting involved

Whether you’re new to university, looking to meet new people, or simply want to get more involved in student life, everyone is welcome.

You don’t have to be studying one of the courses listed above.
