Derryatrics

Welcome to Ulster University's Medicine For The Elderly Society!

Interested in learning more about older people’s health and geriatric medicine? Derryatrics is a student led society at Ulster University, running from the Magee Campus.

Created by medical students, Derryatrics provides opportunities to explore geriatrics beyond the university curriculum while meeting other students with similar interests.

There’s plenty happening throughout the academic year, with our programme combining education, community involvement and social activities. Events have ranged from talks delivered by guest speakers and student teaching sessions to visits to care homes, alongside a variety of other activities.

Everyone is welcome to get involved, whether you have a particular interest in geriatrics or are simply curious and want to find out more.

For more information, questions or details on how to take part, contact one of the committee members/student reps or message us on Instagram at Derryatrics UUSU.
