Join Magee's Film Society today!
The Film Society holds weekly film screenings open to anyone within the Ulster Magee campus! We cover a range of movie genres, so there's something for everyone! We also hope to give people a place to meet with others on campus, whether it be bringing your mates along to a screening, or coming on your own to hang out for the evening. We provide popcorn and drinks during our screenings.

Ryley Jamison, She/Her, Chair - My name is Ryley A. Jamison and I am a passionate filmmaker, writer and actor, based in Derry. As a Cinematic arts student at ulster university, I have a particular interest in the blending of stage work with the world of screen. I am interested in the culmination of classical stories and modern voices. I also hold an enthusiasm for platforming young voices, creating film that speak to young audiences and indulging in the art of childhood storytelling.
I am an alumni of the Belfast Film academy (2024), Screen Works (2024), Cinemagic (2024) and Co Director of Good Luck Production Company.
Mya Drain, She/Her, Secretary + Wellbeing - My name is Mya and I'm studying Cinematic Arts. Music is my favourite thing. Some of my favourite films include The Crow (1994), The Wiz, Tron Legacy, V for Vendetta. I love dance as well as cinematography, camera work and acting.
Alex Mckeown, He/Him, Social Media + Treasurer - My name is Alex McKeown and I study Cinematic Arts. Some of my favourite films as The Prestige and The Princess Bride alongside anything Tim Burton. I enjoy script writing alongside camera work.
