University Officers' Training Corps Society (UOTC)

Want a life less ordinary?

The University Officers’ Training Corps is the society for students who want to do something a bit different. It’s where you make friends, try wild new activities, build confidence without even noticing, and collect stories you’ll be telling for years.

Think of it as the perfect mix of adventure club, leadership bootcamp, and the best social group on campus — with the bonus that you get paid for taking part.

What will you gain from joining us?

Big adventures — Hiking, climbing, paddling, exploring… if it gets you outdoors and laughing with your mates, it’s on the menu.

Real‑life skills — Learn how to stay calm under pressure, solve problems fast, and work with people you’ve just met.

Leadership without the boring bits — You’ll learn to lead by actually doing things, not sitting in a lecture.

Paid experiences — Yes, you get paid to take part. Yes, it’s as good as it sounds.

A social life that slaps — Nights out, themed events, fancy dinners, and a group of people who become your go‑to crowd.

Upcoming Events:

During freshers we host a joining period where you have the opporunity to join us!
