Support and Training
You will receive support from the Marketing Team, along with training relevant to the role. This may include content capture, brand guidance, content planning, platform-specific content formats and relevant UUSU systems and processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Capture photo and video content at UUSU events, stalls and activities on your campus for use across social media and other student-facing communications.
  2. Support the creation of engaging content that helps promote UUSU activity, increase awareness and encourage student participation.
  3. Contribute ideas for content that reflects student interests, campus activity and key moments across the academic year.
  4. Support content planning by helping identify upcoming opportunities, trends, events and student stories that could be developed into engaging social media content.
  5. Assist with content linked to campaigns, events, student opportunities and wider UUSU activity across the academic year.
  6. Support recurring content features such as society spotlights, event coverage, student vox pops, behind-the-scenes content and other student-facing formats.
  7. Support the visibility of societies activity online, including helping keep the UUSU Presents Instagram page fresh and relevant through society spotlights, sharing society content and identifying opportunities to showcase student activity.
  8. Support light digital upkeep linked to societies activity, including reviewing society webpages or event listings, highlighting omissions and suggesting updates or additions where needed.
  9. Attend agreed events, activities or society content that reflects student life on campus events in order to capture timely and relevant
  10. Support light copywriting, caption drafting or content preparation for review by the relevant staff team.
  11. Work flexibly in line with campus priorities and support wider UUSU activity where required during particularly busy periods.
