Despite the rise in media coverage afforded to the charges of sexual assault and rape throughout U.K universities, Ulster University Coleraine has been running various campaigns to tackle any issues regarding consent amongst students.

 
Are Online Dating Apps to Blame for the Spread of STIs Amongst Students?

With more and more people converting to hooking up online as opposed to the daunting convention of meeting face-to-face in a busy nightclub, it’s not surprising that online dating apps, such as Tinder and Grindr, have been labelled as one of the chief contributors to the recent surge of STI diagnoses (chlamydia by 2% and gonorrhoea by 15% from 2016 to 2017, according to the Public Health Agency) in N.I.

Brexit Readiness Working Group

Tuesday evening’s rejection of Prime Minister Theresa May’s Withdrawal Agreement, means that the UK is still due to leave the EU in just over two months, but this decision throws further doubt on the terms and the timing of the departure and whether there will be a transition period of up to two years.

The Computing and Engineering Formal is organised once a year by the Ulster Society of Student Engineers (USSE) and it serves as a fantastic opportunity to suit-up and celebrate with your classmates!
