Ulster University Students' Union has picked up the accolade of ‘Students’ Union Team of the Year (Large)' in the Student Achievement Awards Ireland, which were held on 12 May 2022 in the Gibson Hotel, Dublin.
A massive congratulations to the team, they have been working tirelessly throughout the year to provide our members with the best possible students' union and it is great to have this recognised!
On receiving the award, Owen McCloskey, UUSU President said:
“The mission of UUSU is clear - it strives to ‘improve the lives of students by being an inclusive and supportive community where students can fulfil their potential and ensure their voice is heard’, and I would like to congratulate all the team on winning this award which is validation of our continuing efforts in ensuring that students at Ulster are at the heart of everything we do.”

Another award received by UUSU was Welfare Campaign of the Year awarded to the amazing Period Poverty Campaign at Ulster Uni Students' Union. A massive congratulations and huge thank you to all involved in implementing this campaign.
Another congratulations to Amy Merron (pictured below) – Ulster Uni Students' Union - Winner of Student Activist of the Year.
Amy is a catalyst for change and works extremely hard to implement positive change for the better of her fellow students. Many thanks Amy for your hard work and dedication to worthwhile causes.
