Course Rep & Student Council Elections

Nominations close Wed 12th Oct at 4pm

Nominations now open for Course Rep and Student Councillor roles.

Around 800+ students step up to the course rep role every year, creating the biggest team of volunteers at UU.  Essential in providing a connect between students, staff and your Students’ Union, course reps work to support and enhance the learning experience for their class, school, and faculty.

Student Council is made up of 46 members elected annually who represent the voice of students on issues facing students across campuses.  Student Council also makes decisions on the position of the Students’ Union as it seeks to make change across not just our university but wider society.

Are you ready to represent the voice of your course mates?

  • Nominate yourself to become a Course Rep!

Are you passionate about issues facing the student population?

  • Enact change by nominating yourself to become a Student Councillor!

Interested? Here’s what to do next!

Firstly, do not let an election put you off.  It is important to remain an authentic student voice structure and as such we have a democratic process in place that allows students to decide who their representatives are.  We will provide all the guidance and support you will need and aim to keep the process as simple as possible.

The election of course reps will be in two stages:

  • Stage 1: Nominations OPEN NOW and close on 12th Oct
  • Stage 2: Voting - opens 17th Oct and closes 18th Oct (week 4)
