Coleraine

Please be aware of ongoing changes to the rail timetable, affecting the University Halt connection at Coleraine station with the Belfast to Derry~Londonderry rail service.

Translink anticipates returning to the regular timetable by Sunday 6 October.

The Portrush line trains between 11:43am and 5:43pm have a longer wait time at Coleraine station for connections with the Derry~Londonderry service.

The trains prior to 11:43am and after 5:43pm have a 5-minute wait at Coleraine for travel to Derry~Londonderry and a 20-minute wait to Belfast.

The bus services (140a &140b)  may offer a quicker journey time. You can find the 140a timetable here  and 140b timetable here.

Magee

The Foyle Street Bus station, is a short walk from the Magee campus. The station connects to many lcoations including Omagh, Strabane, Coleraine, Donegal, Belfast and Dublin.

You can find timetables for this bus centre here.

There is an hourly train service from Derry~Londonderry to Belfast with a free shuttle bus (2d) connecting the rail service from the Northwest Transport hub to the Foyle bus station.

Driving & Parking

Park fine to avoid a FINE!

If you are driving to campus please be mindful that parking can be limited, particularly at Magee and Belfast.

Belfast

As Belfast is considered a car free campus, on campus parking is not available (permit access only car parking spaces are avaiable). Parking in resedentail areas and retail parks around the campus can seem to be a free and easy option, however, you need to be mindful of the rules and regulations. (FINES AREN'T FREE!)

Free parking that isn't within regulations will often lead to hefty fines, making your travel to campus a lot more expensive.

If you do chose to drive please consider using public paid car parks - the expense of these will not come close to the expensive fines you could recieve for unauthorised parking.

You can use this tool to find a Belfast City Centre car park that suits you.

Magee

Campus car parking is avialble at Magee, however, the main car parks can expereince very high demand, particularly in the first few weeks of the semester.

The neighboring area to our Magee campus is very resedential. Parking around resedential areas can cause delays and in the rush to find a spot resedential parking has been causing issues for neighbours such as blocked driveaways, limited access for large vehicels including emergency services and blocked pavements which causes problems for pedestrians, particualry those requiring disabled access.

If you are chosing to drive to campus, please consider using a paid car park to ensure your parking is not hazardous or illegal. This car park finder can help you with this.

Coleraine

Campus car parking is also available at the Coleraine campus, please be aware that these car parks can also be busy at times. Leave yourself plenty of time to park and get situated. Again, please practice mindful parking and be aware of our neighbours.

Car sharing is a great way to minimise costs and emissions when travelling to campus. Have a chat with your mates on how you can make this option work for you.
