Periods are a natural bodily function, and it is critical that we talk about the stigma and taboo attached to menstruation.
Our Students’ Union has launched a pilot initiative, aimed at tackling this issue by providing tampons and sanitary pads free of charge in our SU bathrooms, in partnership with the University and with funding from the Department for the Economy.
If you want to get involved in our campaign, to help challenge the stigma and help achieve period dignity, you can help the campaign by completing this short survey:

We must break down the barriers of period stigma and provide inclusive education to achieve period dignity. Nobody should feel ashamed about their period and absolutely nobody should ever have to experience period poverty in today's society.
