Nominations are open for Course Representative positions and UUSU Student Council. These are two very different ways to make an impact as a student!

Course Reps: Shape your academic experience

If you care about how your course is taught, how students are supported, or what could be improved, an Course Rep role could be for you.

Course, School and Faculty Reps represent students at different levels across the University, gathering feedback, raising issues and working with staff to influence teaching, learning and the wider academic experience.

You don’t need previous experience. If you’re willing to listen to other students, speak up and help improve things, you can make a real difference.

Student Council: Shape your Students’ Union

Student Council is a key part of UUSU’s democracy. Councillors debate and decide policy, represent different student communities and help shape the direction and priorities of the Students’ Union. The current draft identifies 48 seats across different constituencies.

It could be for you if you’re interested in student issues, campaigns, debate, representation or making sure students like you have a voice in the decisions UUSU makes.

Why get involved?

You’ll build experience in leadership, advocacy, communication and teamwork, grow your network, strengthen your CV and have the opportunity to work towards the EDGE Award.
