Procraftination
A bit about us:
Procraftination is the multi award winning arts and crafts society based in UU Magee campus. We aim to provide a friendly environment to anyone who just wants to take a break from uni (and general life) stresses and just craft.
Meetups are every Monday at 5:30pm along with special themed events throughout the year.
Members have access to an ever expanding selection of craft materials to use along with unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate, snacks and endless banter!
All levels of ability are extremely welcome, feel free to work on existing projects or take the opportunity to try something new.
Previous events have included:
- Harry Potter Night; featuring wand making, a magical quiz and lots of themed snacks and prizes!
- Pokemon Night: Gotta craft them all... we made pompom pokemon pets and had a movie night.
- Jurassic Park Night - roaresome decoupage dinosaurs.
- Animal Crossing Night - minigames reimagined in real life with a creative twist, ft. Brewsters cafe.
- Our spooky halloween pumpkin carving competition.
- A very festive gingerbread house building competition.
- And Bob Ross Night! Do you have what it takes to keep up with the legend himself?
So, do you have anything equally good planned for this year?
Yes, of course! As well as some returning favourites we have some big new plans!

- Lego Night - yes, we do count lego as art. (Don't let anyone tell you different)
But that's not all! We will be running new craft events weekly, so make sure you follow us either here, on instagram or facebook to keep up to date.
What kind of crafts do you have weekly?
Our day to day selection is ever expanding but to date our members have tried:
- Clay modelling
- Drawing and Painting
- Felting
- Crocheting, Knitting and other forms of wool art
- Cross stitch and embroidery
- Decoupage, origami and other forms of paper art
- Even colouring paper for those "eh, I just want to chill with my society provided tea and biscuits" days.
We like to change things up by providing new craft opportunities and inspiration. However, there is no obligation to follow the theme each week. Our materials are always available!
Okay, you've convinced me. What now?
If you would like to join and support us a membership is £3.50 with your first nights entry free. Entry is £3 per week after.
Membership and entry fees all go towards maintaining and expanding our craft materials, food supplies and allow us to plan fun events all for our members. We really appreciate all our members support - we want this society to be the best it can be!
