Who Are We?

The Global Business Society are a group of students who wish to bring together students with a passion towards business and enterprise to network, helping each other along entrepreneurial journeys while creating lifetime connections and improving professional relationships.

Our Aims

Objectives

1. We want to work with local & global businesses to provide knowledge and information.

2. Creating and leveraging connections with established businesses and post-startups to share their experiences with those wanting to start-up.

3. To help students struggling with isolation at university, public speaking or simply want advice and support for starting up their own business.

4. Society wants everyone to feel included and comfortable with each other, we also aim to set up student taught study sessions either online or in person.

Activities / Events

Guest Speakers

We aim to reach out and get small local businesses to give talks about how they run their business, the inner workings and what it takes to manage their business. This is also a chance for students who wish to set up their own business to ask questions and get the answers they. We also aim to get alumnis to come in and talk about their experiences after university and how they got to where they are now.

Nights Out

We aim to include students from the Belfast and Coleraine campus and to accommodate this we are planning to have separate nights out in different campuses. These campus specific night outs will be announced via email and will include further details.

Game & Movie Nights

For students who are more comfortable at home but still want to be part of society, we are inclusive and accommodating to game and movie nights. We are currently working on setting up a discord where you can play games with newfound friends, watch business or non-business-related movies, or even ask any questions or need advice.
