Architecture

Being an architect is more than just understanding North and South, or where the sun rises and sets and how that affects your building, it's also about navigating life

The side of architecture we want to nurture using this society is the side that understands our responsibility to the public, eachother and the world. As the youngest generation studying to design for a world that is changing in ways we couldn't have imaged just a few years ago, we have to submerge ourselves in global culture, society, the news, the injustices and how to be part of the solution in creating a smarter, greener, kinder world. We have to navigate that noise and lead the way to a better way of living.

And we won't have a fighting chance at this if we don't have the support we need! Something funny on your feed to giggle at on a monday morning over a hot coffee, daily bite sized posts fueled with innovative tech, leading work from architects across the globe you might not see in your textbooks, exciting art and design from diverse sectors outside of our own, we, Arcsoc, are creating a community hub for all!

Do you want to know what existing students wish they'd known going into first year?

Do you want tips about what you REALLY need in your kit?

Do you fancy going to pizza and movie nights after a tough day in studio?

Join Arcsoc in 2020/2021 for all this and more!

Whether you're a first year or a masters student, studying fashion, sports or chemistry; you are very welcome!

We're going to need all the support we can get this year, and facing it together can only be a good thing :)
